Railway
The railway track Le Pont – Le Brassus is 14 km long and was inaugurated on August 21st 1899.
The train runs every day and every hour and links the villages on the left-hand side of the lake, between Le Brassus and Le Pont and goes further to Vallorbe, from where you can change trains and continue to Lausanne, Yverdon and Geneva airport. In addition, several TGV trains run from Vallorbe to Paris every day in 3 hours 18 minutes.
In 1985, some real passionate locals also put a steam train into service between Le Pont and Le Brassus. Along the way, one can admire the three lakes – Lac de Joux, Lac Brenet and Lac Ter – as well as pastureland with the typical Jura fir with, in the background, the mountain chain of Le Risoud.
