From Chalais to the chalets... via...
In a spirit of discovery, a concept of didactic trails was born in 2014 to enhance the richness of the Chalais commune. The backbone of the project is a trail linking Chalais to the Crêt du Midi.
Called "From Chalais to the chalets", it crosses five levels of vegetation and intersects twelve themed trails called "... en passant par..." which form horizontal axes.
Hardy hikers can climb this trail, which has a positive vertical drop of 1,800 metres. The other trails are accessible by cable car, gondola, bus, car, bike or on foot.
