The Hôtel de Ville in Le Sentier, Vallée de Joux, offers 18 renovated bedrooms and a restaurant with two atmospheres: a bistro atmosphere for simple pleasures and attractively-priced menus of the day and a dining room dedicated to gastronomic dishes that have been rewarded with 14 GaultMillau points.
“Generous, original and exciting”: this is how the partners of the Hôtel de Ville of Le Sentier describe the cuisine of their gastronomic restaurant called Le Comptoir du Boeuf. As its name says, meat matured on the bone takes pride of place in this restaurant. It is served as tartare based on creative recipes or on slates with seasonal vegetables and roasted new potatoes.
The menu card offers menus that give insight into the Chef’s inventiveness. Each dish is mouth-watering and reasonably priced. The Vaudois specialties are included but offered in new variations. Last but not least: the desserts. They are delicious and are also offered as café gourmand for those who prefer smaller portions of sweets after a meal.
