In Solliat, the Fromagerie des Landes is a family business specialising in the production of Gruyère AOP. It also produces its own fondue, raclette, serac, double cream and yoghurt.
The Fromagerie des Landes contributes to the livelihood of 15 families of milk producers in the region. The floral diversity of the Vallée de Joux grassland gives its cheeses unique aromas and flavours. Between lake and forest, at a moderate altitude, the milk of the region is of exceptional quality and the Limacher family strives to make the best of it.
Their know-how was rewarded with a silver medal at the international competition in Lyon in 2022 thanks to their Gruyère AOP.
Good to know: The cheese dairy team has two 24-hour vending machines in the Vallée de Joux. One is located in front of the cheese dairy and the other on the ski lift square in L'Abbaye. You will find: fondue mixes, raclette cheeses, Gruyère (8 and 12 months), L'Onctueux de la Vallée de Joux, Bleu de la Vallée de Joux, meringue, double cream, bread, butter.
