There are several starting points for enjoying the slopes in the Les Charbonnières-Le Lieu area: the Refuge du Poteau or the customs post along the Route de Mouthe, the Allemagne mountain pasture above Le Lieu or, when conditions allow, the centres of the villages of Les Charbonnières and Le Lieu.
Small car parks are available at these various points.
The villages are served daily by the train and by the Travys bus route between Yverdon-les-Bains and Le Brassus.
