Direct sales, tours of the mountain pasture and breakfasts
Located near the French-Swiss border between Les Charbonnières and Mouthe, the Les Esserts du Lieu alpine chalet produces a range of wood-fired alpine cheeses, including Gruyère d’alpage AOP, raclette and sérac, as well as milk jam. These products are sold on site.
For those wishing to discover the secrets of Gruyère production and life on the mountain pastures during the summer season, it is possible to book a guided tour, followed by a breakfast made entirely from local produce.
Les Esserts du Lieu also welcomes campers who are members of the PlaceToBee project, which promotes direct trade between producers of local specialities and consumers.
