Loop in the Risoud forest, punctuated by ascents and descents, with possible stops at the Apollo or La Racine mountain huts.
This loop of approximately 12 km offers full immersion in the Risoud forest, the largest continuous woodland in Switzerland. After a gradual ascent towards Moësettaz, the route opens onto the landscapes of Grandes Roches before continuing through alternating pastures and forest sections to the Mézery junction.
Marked by several climbs and descents, the trail also provides access to emblematic shelters such as Apollo and La Racine, with the option to make a detour to La Molasse 2 for an additional pause in nature.
The return follows the Molasse path to the highest point of the route, before a gentle descent leads back to the Thomassette plain. A varied loop that perfectly reflects the winter character of the Risoud.
